Dot NET Domain Names

When the Dot NET universal domain extension was initially introduced in 1985, along with the first domains on the Internet, it was meant to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure companies. Since there were no specific rules about the usage of the TLD, though, dot NET domains were reserved and used for different purposes and by many people. This extension is an ideal substitute of dot COM, notably if the desirable domain with the latter domain extension is not free for registration.
