Multiple OS
What number of server Operating Systems will you be able to select from?
An Operating System is the software which interacts with the hardware of a PC and serves as the intermediary between the installed applications and the hardware, which includes peripherals such as a printer, a computer mouse or a keyboard. When you run software, it transfers requests to the OS through an API (Application Program Interface) and the communication is done through a command line or a Graphical User Interface (GUI). Similar to a personal computer, web servers also have an Operating System that acts as a host for all of the software installed on them, including script applications or server-side software such as a flash server, a VOIP server, etc. A virtual machine can be created on a physical one, so it is possible to install a guest OS on it and have a different system environment in contrast to the physical server host Operating System.

Multiple OS in VPS Web Hosting
Our
virtual private server plans come with three Linux distributions that you can choose from for the Operating System of your new hosting server - Debian, Ubuntu and CentOS. Apart from being 100 % free, the OSs are really stable and risk-free and the key reason to offer you the 3 of them is to ensure that you'll be able to run every app that you'd like, as different pieces of software could have different requirements when it comes to the environment they work on. Each one of the three OSs is supported by a vast community of developers who have made thousands of software packages that you can set up and use on your VPS. Depending on the Operating System that you choose, you will also be able to choose between three different Control Panels to handle your hosting content. Also, in case you decide that you need another OS, we can always reinstall the server with it. As a paid upgrade, we also provide weekly updates of the OS for optimum stability and security.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers Hosting
We offer three Operating Systems with our
dedicated server plans - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They are all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they are free and they will not increase the low price of your new server, but also because they are very secure and stable. Each one of them is backed up by a vast community of web developers, so you'll be given the option to choose from many hundreds of software packages that you could install on your server in case the application that you intend to employ has certain requirements. The Operating System will also determine what hosting Control Panel you can use since the Control Panels that we offer are compatible with specific OSs only and since we want to give you as much versatility as possible, we offer a couple of OSs and multiple Control Panels. In case you choose a server with a certain Operating System, we will change it upon request in case it turns out that you'll need alternative one. We could also keep the OS updated on a weekly basis as part of the additional Managed Services upgrade.
